Many holidays are actually international in nature. Christmas, New Years, and Easter top those in importance. In the Philippines the day begins with processions of men led by an image if Jesus and women dressed in black following the Virgin Mary. These two processions meet together in the center of town at church where the young girls are dressed as angels who remove the black outer clothes before there is a feast.
